The Help Desk Technician Student Team Lead position is responsible for assisting in onboarding and scheduling of employees, making recommendation and giving feedback to enhance the department, ensuring coverage for all shifts, training student employees, communicating updates, alerts and etc. to student employee teams.  Team Leads must also supporting the campus via the phone as well as those walking up to the help desk.  Additionally Help Desk Technician’s are responsible for assisting with staying abreast of ITS maintenance, announcements and alternate means to access equipment in case of emergencies and attending all mandatory training sessions offered by ITS Student Services Team.

Students must have leadership/supervisory experience or have displayed such qualities in an ITS Student Employment program. Students must have basic computer knowledge, and have strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be confident in knowledge of Windows and/or Mac/OS and common problems. Must be a self-motivated problem solver, and student should have a desire to learn new technologies. Student will be responsible for monitoring lab activities and ensuring that lab and university policies are enforced and followed.
