Apply for Summer Housing

Welcome to Residential Life at North Carolina Central University! We are excited that you have decided to live on campus during the summer semester. We believe that the residence hall experience is just as important and impactful as your academic experience. We hope you can live with other NCCU students to build a community that values academic success, leadership, personal growth, becoming a global citizen and forging life-long friendships.

All students looking to secure housing for the summer semester must complete a summer housing application.

Charges for summer housing are assessed on the student's e-bill by session. Rates for Summer housing can be found below. During the summer term, students are not granted the ability to choose the type of accommodation. Students are assigned based on availability at the time of assignment and grouped by the session(s) they are enrolled.

Students enrolled during the summer intersession period must complete an intersession request form. The student should submit a copy of the summer schedule reflecting enrollment in the summer intersession period. For more information on intersession housing, please go to the Residential Life website. All costs associated with the Summer I (Spring to Summer I) intersession period will be applicable.

All students residing on campus for the summer are required to have a meal plan. For more information on the summer meal plan, students can go to the NCCU Hospitality website or contact the Eagle Card Office at 919-530-5010.

The On-Campus Residency requirement is not applicable to the Summer term. If a student who is bound to the live-on requirement is seeking to live off campus during the academic year (Fall or Spring), they must have an approved exemption.

Congratulations on your acceptance into North Carolina Central University! We are excited to welcome you to on-campus housing, your new home away from home. There is a $100.00 non-refundable fee due at the time of application.

Continuing and readmitted students must be registered for summer classes prior to accessing the summer housing application. A non-refundable $100.00 application fee will be added to your student e-bill upon completion of the housing application.
