Join the NCCU Department of Language and Literature for a Celebratory Evening of the Lives and Legacies of Zora Neale Hurston and Toni Morrison. The event is free and open to the public.

This evening of festive performances is sponsored by Her Story Garden Studios, the NCCU Department of Language and Literature, the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, and the James E. Shepard Memorial Library.

The event will include the following:

  • A dance performance by Jayah Gomez
  • A dramatic reading of Hurston and Morrison's work by the Department of Theatre and Dance students of the Voice and Diction class
  • Hurston and Morrison trivia by Literature and Creative Writing students
