At NCCU, we’re excited to collaborate on opportunities that foster connection, learning, and belonging. This year's 7th Conversation Series, "Bridging Generations: Conversations That Connect," will be hosted in collaboration with the MLK Committee of Durham, the MLK Committee of the Triangle and the YMCA of the Triangle. Our newest partner, the Y remains committed to bringing people together through meaningful community engagement.

North Carolina Central University’s Office of Community Engagement and Service partnered with the YMCA to kick off NCCU’s seventh year of moderated conversations. Free and open to the public, this engaging series brings together students, community members, and local leaders for meaningful, intergenerational discussions that build connection and inspire positive change.  We look forward to seeing you there!

The program will begin with welcome remarks from leaders representing the City of Durham, North Carolina Central University, the YMCA, and Lightner Y Achievers. This will be followed by a powerful conversation on civic virtue, character education, and shared responsibility, featuring reflections from the Rev. Dr. Sterling Freeman and moderated by the Rev. Lisa Yebuah. A special performance by the NCCU WPI Choir will follow. The evening will conclude with a reception and 30 minutes of student-led, small-group dialogue.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.!
