
Join Health Promotion and Education, RCMI Center for Health Disparities Research, and Sister's Inc. next week for the Pink Eagle Edition: Breast Cancer Awareness Series! The Pink Eagle Edition is a series of events dedicated to raising awareness about the increasing number of adults being diagnosed with breast cancer in their 20s and 30s. Currently, breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women aged 20 to 49 in the U.S. according to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
On Thursday, October 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Julius L. Chambers Biomedical/Biotechnology Research Institute (BBRI) building there will be an intimate discussion on breast health. Attendees will hear from a breast cancer physician and inspiring stories from survivors; Snacks are provided and opportunities to win prizes!
To conclude the week, wear your best pink and join the survivors and thrivers of Sisters, Inc. at the NCCU vs. VUL football game on Saturday October 12, at 2 p.m. Buy a ticket to the game.
