Isaac Hughes Green, an adjunct instructor in the Department of Language and Literature, will be participating in a literary reading and discussion this Saturday, September 4, at 7 p.m. at Scuppernong Books in Greensboro.

Isaac will be reading a story entitled "The First Time I Said It" that won the 2021 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers. It was initially published in The Georgia Review and has since been anthologized in Best Debut Short Stories 2021: The PEN America Dau Prize. He will also read a novel excerpt. Copies of the anthology will be available for purchase and signing at the reading.
