The Office of International Affairs (OIA) Affidavit of Support for Free Room and Board form should be completed only by the person providing free room and board to a student applying for an I-20. 

In order to be issued an I-20, all F-1 international applicants must use this form to provide certification of financial resources to pay tuition and fees, living expenses, books, medical insurance and personal needs for themselves and their dependent family members (if any) for the duration of their stay or proposed study (4-year degree).
