We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in the ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of web updates at our university. The School of Law is migrating its website under the nccu.edu domain, at nccu.edu/law. This is a key project that will make it easier to access, update, and manage the Law School’s digital presence.
What’s Changing?
Starting on December 16, the School of Law’s website will be accessible at nccu.edu/law instead of the current law.nccu.edu. This change will allow for more efficient web updates, making it easier to maintain accurate and timely information for our students, faculty, and visitors.
Why Is This Important?
The migration to the University domain is a significant step toward enhancing the functionality and ease of managing the School of Law’s online presence. By consolidating our web resources under a single, central platform, we are streamlining the process and improving access to key information.
When Will This Happen?
The migration will take place on December 16. After this date, all links to the previous law.nccu.edu will redirect automatically to nccu.edu/law, ensuring that there is no disruption in access.
Have Questions?
For any inquiries related to the website migration, please reach out to Khalia Spivey, at [email protected] from the School of Law.
We are excited about this improvement and look forward to seeing how it will enhance our ability to provide timely updates and information to our university community.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
How to Request Changes or Report Issues:
If you are an approved content contributor for the Law School or note an issue post-migration, you can use the following link to request services from the NCCU Web Services team:
https://www.nccu.edu/submit-web-ticket
For thinking through the design/component options available on NCCU.edu, we encourage you to review our “Landing Page Style Guide” and our “Chaptered Page Style,” both of which visually show you all the components (we call them “paragraphs”) available on the two major NCCU page types. It also includes the titles of each item, as well as some general best practices:
- Landing Page (full-width, more visual): https://www.nccu.edu/landing-page-style-guide
- Chapter Page (sidebar and partial width content, better for text): https://www.nccu.edu/Chapter-page-style-guide
- Photoshelter: https://nccu.photoshelter.com/galleries
- Brand Center: https://www.nccu.edu/brand
Also included above is a link to our Photoshelter, for finding images, and our NCCU Brand Center, which is a great resource for university brand standards.
Note: If you can’t download an image via Photoshelter, please just send us the file name (e.g., _CHI0024.jpg), and we can download it for you.
We also have a template (partially filled out as an example) that you can use to submit your requests (not required, but it can be helpful).
