Updating Web Content for Fall 2023

Date Published:

Have you checked your web content recently? As the Fall semester starts, we encourage our faculty and staff to review their department or office’s content on NCCU.edu and myEOL for any needed updates. For example, you might want to update dates for yearly processes, change contact information on a form or document, or just create a new look and feel to freshen up your pages!

For information on the available layouts and components for NCCU.edu pages, please review our style guides for the two most common types of pages:

If you’re looking for a new image or two to add to your page, we encourage you to check out NCCU’s Photoshelter.

How to Update Your Page(s)

Once you know what changes are needed, simply put in a Help Desk ticket for Web Services, and the Web Services team will make the changes for you.

In most cases, using the General Web Services ticket type will work just fine, but for specific items like profile page creation or announcement requests, we do have dedicated ticket types to help guide you in providing the required information.  Review the full list of Web Service ticket types.

Simple updates (e.g., adding/editing content on existing pages) are usually completed within 3 business days (or less). Complex updates (creating multiple new pages or setting up a new web form) may require more time, depending upon the scope of work.

For all tickets, the requestor must approve the draft page(s), so responding to comments from the Web Services team quickly will help ensure a swift publication.

Finally, if you have questions, feel free to request a Web Service Consultation, and our staff will guide you through the update process.
