Dr. Leah Floyd, a behavioral scientist in the Biomedical Biotechnology Research Institute (BBRI) and co-director of the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Opioid Abatement Coordinating Center, has been appointed to the National HBCU Behavioral Health Workforce Curriculum Development Committee.
This initiative is part of the HBCU Center for Excellence in Behavioral Health and HBCU Leadership in Education, Awareness, and Preparation (HBCU LEAP) at Clark Atlanta University. Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, this effort aims to strengthen pathways into the behavioral health workforce, expand educational opportunities for students, and advance HBCU-led innovation in addressing the nation's behavioral health workforce needs.
