The mission of North Carolina Central University's Facilities Operations (comprised of Administration, Carpentry/Locksmith, Electrical, Grounds, Housekeeping, HVAC/Plumbing, Motor Pool, Painting, and Setups/Labor) is to provide support services to the University community. The collective department of Facilities Operations strives to provide an effective academic environment. We believe that the means of personalized education is inherent in the physical spaces we provide for learning. Some of the characteristics that create an atmosphere that facilitates campus and community activities are cleanliness, attractiveness, comfort, accessibility, safety, and systematically arranged spaces.
The ultimate goal of the Facilities Operations is to condition our facilities, through inspection and audit programs, to design new and renovated facilities for low-cost life-cycle maintenance, to assign the highest priorities to the most serious conditions and to utilize all funding sources as good stewards.
