Researchers at the North Carolina Central University Department of Nursing in Durham, NC, are carrying out a study to learn about how healthcare providers can help Black women who may have experienced violence or abuse and discrimination in healthcare. We also want to learn how women manage health appointments that become upsetting and how stress and discrimination affect their health.

American Red Cross lifeguarding classes are designed with your learning style in mind. Our traditional in-person lecture is available to those who prefer a more traditional classroom setting, whereas our blended courses mix both conventional learning and vital hands-on training.
