A Rite of Passage for the Nursing Student

Date Published:

On September 2, 2020, at 5 p.m., the Nursing Department will host the White Ceremony for its newly accepted Junior Traditional and Accelerated Nursing students. Intended for first-year students in nursing programs, the White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage that often takes place during the initial days of orientation. It serves to welcome students to healthcare practice and elevate the value of humanism as the core of healthcare. It provides a powerful emphasis on compassion in combination with scientific excellence.

This year, the White Coat Ceremony will be broadcasted through a virtual platform.
