The Language and Literature Department will offer a 15-week class, Speaking and Listening, designed for non-native speakers of English who are local residents, working professionals, or community members.

This class will provide an intermediate or advanced level of skills practice, and each class session will involve listening to radio programs, podcasts, and speeches by famous orators. On a weekly basis, students will practice conversational speaking, vocabulary development, accent reduction, and spoken grammar. It is open to NCCU faculty and staff who are non-native speakers, but the class is not designed for NCCU students. A textbook will be required. Class size is limited to 25 students. Please use our Learning Stream registration form to register for the class.

The class costs $150 and will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6–8:30 pm from January 13 to May 5, 2020, in Farrison-Newton 347.
