October is breast cancer awareness month. The NCCU Julia Williams Davis Chapter of Colleges Against Cancer (NCCU-CAC) invites the NCCU community to wear something pink on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, to highlight and bring awareness to breast cancer.
Each year, the children in the Child Development Lab School walk around campus to greet faculty and staff and receive treats! We will begin walking the campus at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 31.
North Carolina Central University will honor the life and legacy of the late Mrs. Carolyn Marie Smith Green, C’51, on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, from 3 to 4:30 pm in the B. N. Duke Auditorium. Alumna Green, who passed away in August, was the granddaughter of NCCU founder Dr. James E. Shepard.
