ITS will be completing maintenance on network hardware and Banner on Friday, August 7, 2020. Please review the content below for maintenance specifics.
Network Maintenance
The equipment used to provide file storage services for the campus has recently experienced failures to some hardware components. ITS will perform emergency maintenance to replace those components and return the system to optimal performance. This maintenance will begin Friday, August 7, at 5 p.m. and will last up to 4 hours. The following services will be unavailable:
- Campus file servers (home drive and departmental COMMON drives)
- EagleApps
- Eagles’ Purch
- Evisions (Argos)
- FACES
- FileLocker
- PaperCut (Student Printing)
- Portal Guard
Please be sure to have any work saved and/or jobs completed for the network maintenance by 4:30 p.m.
Banner Maintenance
MCNC has to complete some emergency maintenance to apply critical security updates to the F5 load balancers to remediate a vulnerability with the management user interface. Maintenance will begin Friday, August 7, at 11 p.m. The maintenance will last for 2 hours. Banner will be inaccessible during this time.
Please be sure to be logged out of and have jobs completed in Banner by 10 p.m.
